DO SOMETHING

It is illegal to be gay or transgender in 76 countries. In 10 you can be sentenced to death/life it prison for it. Even in the most ‘advanced’ countries - there is inequality, injustice and violence towards gay and transgender people. it’s hard to find a way to help, but it is essential we start to fight this. GET UP AND FIGHT. STAND UP FOR YOURSELF.

here are some websites with ways to help:

www.AllOut.org - sign petitions. (this sounds useless, but it HELPS ENORMOUSLY)

www.nycpride.org (MARCH. PROTEST. this link is for NYC but there are parades and marches all around the world, find one close to you).

www.transequality.org/52things.html put this on your wall, make a check list. HELP. FIGHT

http://answers.yahoo.com Go to sites like these, find questions about GLBTQ related subjects and answer them. Most of these questions come from kids who get no information about these topics except from off the internet, which is dangerous. The more people on the internet telling them that being gay/transgender is okay and educating them about it, the better.

Start conversations: there are people in all our lives that disagree with them about gay and transgender rights - the best thing you can do is to talk to these people. Show them your side. The more you teach people about gay and transgender rights, the better. There are also people who support gay&transgender rights and do nothing about them. Teaching these people that we need them to fight with us, that we are still being oppressed, is really important.

If you are interested in passing out and posting flyers you can make your own, or submit your email address to the ‘ask’ link and we will send you some. If you know other websites or have other ideas for protests please ‘submit’ them. We will be updating this regularly.

And most importantly, remember that WE WILL NOT SURRENDER.

FIGHT
